Al Baginski |

Al Baginski works as a contractor for US EPA Region 3 in Center City Philadelphia, working in the Risk Management Program (originally called the Chemical Accident Prevention Program). He joined the US Environmental Protection Agency in 2000 as a Technical Advisor and Inspector, under a grant program where mature (usually retired) workers with industry experience serve as contact points between the Agency and the regulated facilities. Al retired from ARCO Chemical Company in 1999, after a total of 37 years in the Petroleum Refining, Chemical and Petrochemical Industries. He was graduated from The City College (of New York) with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering (a long time ago). He is a licensed Professional Engineer in PA, a diplomat in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Water Environment Federation. In his real life he is the father of two sons; a small plane pilot (commercial, instrument rated); other interests include history, travel and classical music. |
