Dorothy Allen Kellogg

Dorothy Kellogg is the Senior Director for Security and Operations at the American Chemistry Council.  In this position Dorothy works directly with security experts within the industry and government, specifically the Department of Homeland Security and the US Coast Guard.  She has direct responsibilities for facility security issues including facility vulnerability assessment, security planning, intelligence communications and security training.  Dorothy also provides support for implementation of the ACC Responsible Care^® Security Code. 

Responsible Care^® launched by the industry in 1988 to respond to public concerns over the manufacture and use of chemicals, has become the largest environmental, health and safety initiative undertaken by any American industry.  In 2002 the program was expanded beyond environment, health, safety and distribution issues to include security.

  Dorothy is also responsible for the Council’s advocacy and efforts on process safety and occupational safety & health.  ACC recently signed an Alliance with OSHA, EPA, the Center for Chemical Process Safety, and four other organizations to develop and disseminate materials to assist in the identification and management of chemical reactivity hazards.

  Dorothy earned her Masters of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public affairs at the University of Texas Austin and her BA from Texas Christian University.
