Richard Kral is Program
Co-Chair for this Chemical Process Safety Conference, 20 years after
Bhopal. He is a 10-year volunteer board member for the Philadelphia /
Del Val section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and was
Program Chair for An AIChE Evening On the Battleship New Jersey in
2002. Richard has been a Chemical Process Engineer since 1976 when he
graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a concentration in
chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. A New Jersey
native, his career took him to the Netherlands and Boston before settling
him down 17 years ago in greater Philadelphia. Currently he is a Lead
Process Engineer for Jacobs Engineering Group’s center of excellence for
BioPharm in Conshohocken.
“When Bhopal is back in the news in December and
our family and friends ask, you’re in the business, are we safe?” says
Kral, “we can all be ambassadors for our industry and offer an informed
and thoughtful response.”
