The Department of Chemical Engineering of Widener University and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Delaware Valley Section welcome you to our web page and conference. 

The Chemical Process Safety Conference, 20 years after Bhopal,  is an educational conference aimed at students and professionals with  the purpose of presenting the history of chemical process safety in the Chemical Engineering Field. 

Chemical process safety has become a very important industrial topic, especially since several calamitous events in recent decades and the enactment of new regulations from OSHA, FDA and the EPA.  


To improve the safety of chemical process and the safety and health of workers, customers and the environment, these organizations were established to bring together  engineers and expert consultants with government representative to lead the way in the enforcement of standards, educational trainings, improvement of chemical  process safety and the prevention, mitigation or resource recovery of any significant event like the one in Bhopal, India. To learn more about Bhopal, please visit the Bhopal Section.

The Conference in going to be held in the Webb Room at Widener University Center Campus on December 2, 2004.
