c. Substantial shoes are defined as leather,
closed toe. A dress shoe is fine. Avoid heels, open toes, sneakers.
3. Where.
The plant is located just off Route 13 in Bristol,
PA. I strongly encourage you to look at the
very good map of the site.
Use the "Hybrid" option in Google Maps to see the site along with road
markings. On the map, you will see a large parking lot just south of Railroad
Avenue. We will be parking in this the EMPLOYEE parking lot and walking across
the bridge on the south side of the parking lot to the gate house where the
event will commence.
Driving Directions to PLANT off of Route 13:
1. Take (Newport Road/New Rodgers Road/413) exit
off of Route 13. Head South/East on New Rodgers/Newport Road/ 413. (Sorry for
all the slashes but that is the way it is).
2. You will very shortly go under a railroad
bridge. Stay to the left in order to keep straight (through light) on Newport
Road.
3. At FLASHING yellow lights, bear right at the
fork onto Railroad Avenue. Railroad Avenue is not well marked.
4. AFTER passing a large Rohm & Haas entrance
sign you will travel over a small bridge (over Otter Creek). The large employee
parking lot, where we are parking, will be immediately on your right.
5. Park towards the south end where there is a
walking bridge across Otter Creek. Cross the walking bridge to the Gate House
where the tour commences.
From Plant to King George II Inn.
1. Take right onto Railroad Avenue out of parking
lot.
2. Continue on Railroad Avenue then take right onto
Nichols Memorial Drive.
3. You will see a large parking lot on your right.
Park in that lot as close to the river as you can.
4. The King George II is along the river just
upriver from the parking lot at the corner of Mill and Radcliffe Streets.
Good luck: My cell phone is (609) 903 4163 if
you run into trouble.
