Come
join the Wilmington and Delaware Valley Sections as they jointly host an event
on February 24th starting at 5:30 PM at the Delaware Biotechnology
Institute located in Newark, Delaware for a tour followed by a networking dinner
event held at the University of Delaware Blue & Gold Club.

Professor Kelvin Lee, Director of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute
·A presentation on
“Novel Mechanisms for Drug Delivery” by Professor Millie Sullivan
·A
presentation
on “Strategies for Biofuel Production” by Professor Terry Papoutsakis
·Followed by a tour
of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute
Background:
The Delaware
Biotechnology Institute is located near the University of Delaware campus
and is a partnership among government, academia and industry to help
establish the First State as a center of excellence in biotechnology and the
life sciences. The Institute’s mission is to facilitate a biotechnology
network of people and facilities to enhance existing academic and
private-sector research, catalyze unique cross-disciplinary research and
education initiatives, and to foster the entrepreneurship that creates
high-quality jobs.
