Please join us for a dinner meeting on May 24th. This event will be the highlight of our series of Process Safety Meetings held earlier in the 2010/2011 year. This meeting will be held at the Concordville Inn, on Baltimore Pike. For this meeting, we are pleased to have Deb Grubbe as our keynote speaker. She has distinguished herself as an expert in engineering safety and as an ardent advocate for diversity in her profession. She has held senior positions within the Du Pont Company, and is a former Vice President for Group Safety at BP. Recently, Deb left British Petroleum and started her own consulting firm, Operations & Safety Solutions LLC, to address new challenges and effect positive changes within the industry. With a broad range of experiences, she is a leader in safety across many business sectors - chemicals and refining, and gas, solar, aerospace, and renewable energies. She was recently appointed 2010 chair of the Institute for Sustainability, a technological community within the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). In addition, she currently serves on the NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel and was a consultant to the Columbia Shuttle Accident Investigation Board. She is a former advisory board member of AIChE's Center for Chemical Process Safety and a director of its management division. Once again, we will offer continued education, dinner, and a great opportunity to network with old and new colleagues. This is an opportunity hear from a respected expert in the field for Professional Engineers to earn 2 PDH (Professional Development Hours) credits, which are required by many states, including Pennsylvania, to retain PE active status.
